The longest wait
The longest hour, the longest train ride, the longest movie.
All these thoughts were swallowed by 'the longest wait'.
2 months, embroiled in boredom and misery, was, in a nutshell, a living hell.
'If boredom could kill, we'd all be dead.'
As the days dragged on, minutes lengthened, hours crawled and days enlongated into eternity.
Constant smoke flooding my nasal passages, throughout this season of hell, was the least of my worries.
Who asked for parents who smoked.
Who asked for an alcoholic parent?
The rumours were always true; a drunkard and sober person were on two different spheres,
as with Dr Jackal and Mr Hyde.
Alcohol is probably the potion that turned the former into the latter.
As if boredom weren't lethal enough, sigh...
Screw liquors.
Screw waiting.
Screw my annoying dog. (Wait, that didn't come out right...)
But alas, a revival ought not be tainted by such vulgar words.
And with this, I end the beginning.
