Sunday, August 28, 2005 Apologies... I'm sorry. To those I'd known I've pissed off, and those I don't. I've been a jerk, and will probably continue being one. This entry is not a prank, nor is it insincere, but there is nothing I can say but, "Please forgive me." Friday, August 26, 2005 I can see a flying whale... It seems like almost everyone is still reeling from the excitement that came along with the common tests. Almost every blog I've been to is about(No marks for guessing), the common tests. Yes. Even mine. It's high time this behaviour stopped. =O The past binds. I had pizza for the Alumni Connection Club meeting today! Waiting in school after lessons was worth it after all...lol. Wednesday, August 24, 2005 How do you feel at this point in time? It's time. Yes, right at this point in time, with my sister screaming a whole array of colourful expletives into my ears, asking me to stop typing on the blasted 5-year old keyboard. And catch a god-damned episode of Superstar. Ah well, it seems I've yet to be consumed by the phenomenon known as 'oof'. But now I'm on the run for stealing scooby dooby's "doo". Weirdly, I don't really feel anything. Okie, maybe it's not that weird. After all, this trend has been going on for, say, the past 4 years? If the current observed trend differed from the expected trend, it would only mean anomalous results, and would signal the appearance of 'artefacts'.(remember microscopy anyone?) And even though I seriously doubt anyone is concerned, you won't be seeing any gloomy looks on this blogger's face anytime soon. That is, unless someone steals a packet of 'mamee', upon which I shall unleash a wrath beyond description: $50 for class fund! NOW! Saturday, August 20, 2005 I'm an oof. Yes. It's official. I can smell 'retaincy' right from August. I have obtained yet another sorely 'outstanding' grade for my common test. Not any old Avant garde 'O' , but rather, yes, you know it. The simple and simply annoying 'O'. I detect another 'fabulous' grade for my biology. Ugh. I blame my computer. Yes. Curse you computer. Do you know that a red monitor kills 76% of your brain cells? Of course not. I just made that up. I suppose it kills more. Now here's a thought: Rate of success = Effort invested X (6/10) + Speed of computer X (4/10) = 34% X (6/10) + 676 mhtz or isit hertz? X (4/10) = Aiya, idiot also know result in fail. Wednesday, August 17, 2005 All too simple... Life. Get on with it, or bump somebody else off. Tuesday, August 16, 2005 Deathlist Ah well...It appears it's time to hang out the dirty laundry. Because once again, class fund is broke. It's time to let people know who have yet to pay. 'Gasp' ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Charlene---$17(Really outstanding balance) Xenia---$10(Quite outstanding balance) Melissa---$5 Ying Feng---$5 Zhao Ying---$5 Jia Min---$8.60 And me---$5 Me?! Ah well...The privileges that come with being a treasurer. (Ticks own name, without paying.) There are some jobs in life that yield benefits and special rights, but not a treasurer. Haha. Yeah Right. Friday, August 12, 2005 The most miserable duration of my life... I fear, has yet to commence. Well, nobody likes a whiner. Everyone feels like this sometimes, it's just that some experience it longer than others. Thursday, August 11, 2005 Lost... There are those times in life when you feel ever so lost....... Just found myself listening to a song I haven't heard in a couple of months... It's at times like this that I just feel so empty, so lost, so dead... Sure, everyone feels like that once in a while, but still... There isn't really much to say, not at this junction in life... Have you ever felt like this before? Tuesday, August 09, 2005 National Day Parade!~ I find myself trembling as I begin to type this entry, both in excitement and in suppressed laughter. Yes! It's Singapore's 40th birthday. Happy Birthday Singapore! The parade was very well-done, but I would have never had made it past the first hour had it not been for one isolated, sadly isolated incident. The Prime Minister had just arrived at the Padang stadium, and was in the midst of sitting down when I caught it. The fleeting image, the succulent sandal, the minister behind the Prime minister picking his nose. Classic. The image will be imprinted in my mind, and probably on film too. The one scene I can relate to, regarding this incident, was in Harry Potter, when they went to catch the Quidditch World Cup, and Ron said, "Hey look, I can make that old bloke pick his nose again." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Costumes ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back in 2003 when I performed in the NDP, I had thought that my costume was the limit, with sequins prodding uncomfortably into my flesh as I danced the routine. But it appears this year's batch would have more to complain about. Firstly, let's recap on the first act: Choa Chu Kang Secondary and CJC Trees, treants, monkeys, deers, mountain goats( what were mountain goats doing in Singapore?), Tigers(The poor dudes must have been boiling in those suits.) The trees and treants, were just plain sad. I mean, what could be worse than playing a tree? A rock? The monkeys looked, erm, sick. The suits were just bad. I wonder how much they paid the students to don them. If they wore the outfits out on the street, odds were that they would land a bruise or a black eye. Deers, a little better than the monkeys, considering they didn't have those disgusting tails. Mountain goats and tigers, nothing much to be said, except that they reminded me of OWENS house mascot. Act 2: People's Association 1 Word: Nachos For those who have seen the performance, I think you'll agree with me that the costumes looked incredibly like nachos, chili, barbeque, original. You name it, they wore it. Act 3: Songka Association(Note: This is not the real name, I forgot the real name.) The performers were draped in glittery outfits that had several layers underneath. The myriad of colours helped achieve the overall 'feel' of the performance, making it very noteworthy, especially as to how they were gonna wash it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now after these 3 acts I was positively surging with patriotism, that was until "Hey look, I can make that old bloke pick his nose again." came to mind, which more or less deflated my invigoration. Then I remembered the troop parade. The two soldiers leading the president as he inspected the Red Berets seemed as though they were having cramps; tilting ur feet 45 degrees to the ground can lead to acute cramps. I observed as one of them started poking his head out at an odd angle as he marched, as though in pain. The things men do for a few medals... Let's reach out for the skies!~ Happy Birthday Singapore! Monday, August 01, 2005 Fever... Just woke up from my afternoon nap, feeling slightly better. Can't believe I contracted throat infection, again. "You have a fever of 39.4 degrees celsius." Feeling of deja vu. | ||
